Glastonbury
General Information
Glastonbury is situated in the South West region of England, United Kingdom and was once one of the most important destinations for pilgrims in England. These days thousands of tourists gather here for the annual rock festival and the summer solstice.
The Abbey was the centre of pilgrimage and there are many that believe King Arthur is buried amongst the ruins and that the Holy Grail is hidden somewhere nearby. Glastonbury's early history is linked with the Tor, a hill that is its most prevailing landmark.
In Glastonbury tourists will find a wonderful mix of small town English charm, new-age and bohemian culture mixed with a strong spiritual history.
